Dr. Leonard and Dr. Yang present research at Upjohn Institute.

Dr. Tammy Leonard and Dr. Xi Yang traveled to Kalamazoon, Michigan on November 1, 2018, to participate in a research workshop sponsored by Economic Development Quarterly and the Upjohn Institute. This invitation-only workshop featured researchers from across the country who are studying the impact of economic development incentives on local and regional economic growth. Leonard and Yang's presentation was titled "Economic Impact of Property Tax Abatement: The role of variations in land values and supply elasticity". This is joint work with Lei Zhang (North Dakota State University), Connor Reed (MS Student, UNT Geography), and Schuyler Rougeau (MS Student, UNT Economics).
